　　允执厥中

　　不偏不倚，诚实地执守中正之道。允，诚信；执，坚持，实行；厥，其，那个；中，中正。也称“允执其中”。国家的治理者，尤其是居于首位的治理者，面对各种意见、利益或力量的纠葛、博弈时，绝不无原则地偏向任何一方，要诚心实意地坚守中立、公正的立场，采取应有的政策措施，这样才能把国家治理好。犹言坚持原则，公正无私。这一理念具有普遍意义。

　　Hold Fast the Golden Mean

　　Governors of the country, especially principal governors, should never be biased in making decisions on conflicting opinions, interests and forces in an unprincipled way, but rather they must sincerely hold fast to the middle course with appropriate policies and measures, and sincerely adhere to a neutral and just position. In other words, they must uphold principles and stay fair and unselfish. This concept has general significance and will help them govern the country well.

　　引例人心惟危，道心惟微，惟精惟一，允执厥中。（《尚书·大禹谟》）（人心因易受私欲左右难以掌控而危险，符合天理的本心易被私欲遮蔽而难以彰显，因此需要精心体察，专一坚守，才能诚实秉持中正之道。）

　　The human heart is beset by danger, while the moral mind is subtle and elusive. Concentration of mind is required for sticking to the path of justice and uprightness. (The Book of History)
