端午节

　　端午节(农历5月5日)是中国古老的传统节日，始于春秋战国时期，至今已有2000多年历史。关于端午节的由来，说法最多的是为了纪念投汨罗江而死的忠臣屈原。

　　端午节的重要习俗之一就是赛龙舟，寓意祈求农业丰收、风调雨顺。另一个习俗便是吃粽子，粽子的传统来自于汨罗江边的渔夫，渔夫将米丢入江中平息江中的蛟龙，希望他们不要将屈原吃掉。除此之外，在端午节这天，人们会饮雄黄酒、佩戴香囊、挂艾叶菖蒲等，来祛病避邪。

　　端午节和春节、清明、中秋一起成为中华民族当前最重要的传统节日，

　　在2009年被列入《人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录》。

　　In addition, during the Dragon Boat Festival, people will drink realgar wine, wear sachet, hang moxa calamusto ward off disease and bad luck.

　　The Dragon Boat Festival,together with the Spring Festival, the qingming festival, Mid-Autumn festival, becomes the most important traditional festival of the Chinese nation.

　　It was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2009.
